Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the cooperation program on labor between the two sides over the past time and said that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is an important milestone in the development process. continuing to promote the bilateral cooperation program between Vietnam and Australia. Workers participating in this Program are skilled, qualified, knowledgeable workers who meet the needs of employers in Australia. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung emphasized that this cooperation program is necessary, derived from the interests of the two countries and will certainly contribute to promoting the strategic relationship between Vietnam and Australia. strengthen economic cooperation, towards comprehensive cooperation in many fields between the two sides.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Australian side will receive Vietnamese laborers to work in the agricultural sector with the number of about 1,000 workers per year; basic salary (excluding living expenses) from 3,200 AUD – 4,000 AUD/month (equivalent to about 52.800.000 VND – 66,000,000 VND/month). This is a high level of income compared to other labor receiving markets. Australia has a developed economy, with modern agriculture. The program of labor cooperation with Australia helps Vietnamese workers come to work not only with good income and guaranteed working conditions, but also an opportunity to accumulate knowledge and skills. , advanced science and technology; at the same time, meeting the needs of Australia’s human resources, bringing practical benefits to both Parties.
